A majority of U.S. voters say they'll continue to wear masks even after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

Fifty-three percent of respondents said they'll likely "continue wearing a mask in public when the pandemic is over." Just 41% said they were unlikely to continue doing so, with only 23% deeming it "not at all likely."

Fiver percent was undecided.

Masks have been one of the major political flash points of the pandemic over the past year, with experts stressing that they are critical for fighting the spread of coronavirus and critics pointing out that little data exist to support their usage in that regard.

The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted by Rasmussen using a mixed-mode approach from March 25-27. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.
