Trump holds commanding lead in Nevada GOP primary: poll

Republicans were more split on the question of electability, with 29% saying DeSantis has a better chance to defeat President Joe Biden in 2024 compared to 39% who said Trump would have the better chance to win.

Former President Donald Trump enjoys a considerable lead in the state of Nevada's Republican Primary contest, more than doubling his nearest rival.

Trump took 53% support among likely Nevada Republican voters in a survey from American Greatness. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second with 21% support, while former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley took 3%, while South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy tied for fourth place with 2% each. Former Vice President Mike Pence, who is expected to soon announce his own bid, took 1%.

Notably, Trump scored leads over DeSantis on policy matters, with 64% saying they trusted the former president to improve the economy compared to 11% who preferred DeSantis. Respondents generally indicated they believe Trump cares about their concerns more than DeSantis does, by a 46% to 17% margin.

Conducted from May 30 to June 1, the survey questioned 500 likely Nevada Republican Primary voters and has a margin of error of +/- 4.38%.
