NASA is monitoring a growing dent in Earth's magnetic field that could impact satellites and spacecraft.
The magnetic field protects the Earth, shielding it from solar wind and its particles and radiation.
Named the South Atlantic Anomaly, the dent is allowing those particles to get closer than before, according to the space agency.
