On the heels of the Tuesday election in Israel it is not apparent whether sitting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will succeed in forming a government for the seventh time in his political career, the Jerusalem Post reported according to Tuesday night exit polls.

The outlet said that Netanyahu said on Twitter that he won "a giant victory." The Associated Press said that during remarks to supporters early on Wednesday Netanyahu spoke of a "great achievement" but did not go as far as to declare victory.

"We must not under any circumstances drag the state of Israel to new elections, to a fifth election,” Netanyahu said, according to the AP. "We must form a stable government now."
