Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced a chorus of boos upon exiting St. Paul's Cathedral after Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration, video footage shows.

The video, obtained by the New York Post, shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walking down the cathedral steps as members of the crowd loudly shout boos at the royal couple.

The scene occurred during celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years since ascent to the British throne in 1952. This was their first public appearance with the rest of the Royal Family in over two years, the Post noted.

Harry and Meghan enjoy unusually low public approval ratings among the royals. While 32 percent hold a favorable view of Prince Harry, Meghan earns only 23 percent support from the British public, according to a YouGov survey. The queen herself, meanwhile, enjoys an 80 percent approval rating among her subjects, per the same poll.

The Sussex's have been at odds with the rest of the royal family for years, with many public arguments stemming from Markle's political comments and public criticism of her in-laws. She and her husband famously were interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in March of last year during which Markle accused the family of racism and complained of their alleged mistreatment of her.
