An American abducted and held hostage by the Taliban for more than two years in Afghanistan arrived back in the U.S. on Friday.

George Glezmann was taken by the Taliban in 2022 while traveling through the Middle East as a tourist.

"I feel born again," Glezmann told Fox News upon his return. "I have no words."

His release was negotiated by U.S. and Qatari negotiators, a source told Just the News.

The plane carrying Glezmann landed at Joint Base Andrews, in Maryland. He was greeted by his wife, Aleksandra, who embraced him after he landed.

"I've got no words to express my gratitude for my liberty," Glezmann also said.
