Gaza death toll tops 67,000, Hamas-run ministry says

According to the ministry’s figures, which do not distinguish between civilian and combatant casualties, 67,074 deaths have occurred so far — including 66 fatalities in the past 24 hours.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, announced Saturday that more than 67,000 people have been killed since the conflict began on October 7, 2023. 

According to the ministry’s figures, which do not distinguish between civilian and combatant casualties, 67,074 deaths have occurred so far — including 66 fatalities in the past 24 hours. 

The ministry also reported that two additional deaths in the past day were attributed to malnutrition and starvation, bringing the total deaths from such causes to 459, including 154 children, since the war’s outset.
