Kate Middleton reveals she has cancer, undergoing preventative chemotherapy
She revealed that she took the time to tell her three children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) before telling the public.
The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton announced Friday she has been diagnosed with cancer and is starting "preventative chemotherapy,"
"It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful," she said in a video released by Kensington Palace.
She revealed that she took the time to tell her three children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) before telling the public.
Middleton underwent major abdominal surgery in January.
“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present," she said in the video. "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
She said her husband Prince William has been “a great source of comfort and reassurance."
King Charles III is also fighting cancer and was diagnosed earlier this year.
