The president of a conservative watchdog group said Chinese social video company TikTok had "permanently banned" his account.
Fitton's TikTok page now returns a "Couldn't find this account" message. The most recent archive of the page is from Dec. 26, showing Fitton had 18,700 followers and 153,900 likes, but it doesn't show the content of his videos.
TikTok didn't immediately respond to a request to explain Fitton's removal, and he didn't post the notification he received.
Fitton was suspended by Twitter in January for tweeting "#Hydroxychloroqine is a safe drug," even though the company had previously dismissed a complaint against the same language in a Fitton tweet. It reinstated him in October.
