Fetterman released from hospital, will return to Senate on Monday

Senator appears to receive clean bill of health.

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman was released from the hospital on Friday night after having been there since Wednesday over a brief and unclear health scare.

Fetterman was hospitalized earlier this week after reports that he felt "lightheaded." The senator, who won election in November, suffered a stroke last year and has been public about many of the health challenges he has faced since then.

Fetterman spokesman Joe Calvello said in a tweet on Friday evening that Fetterman "was discharged from the hospital."

"In addition to the CT, CTA and MRI tests ruling out a stroke, his EEG test results came back normal, with no evidence of seizures," Calvello said. "John is looking forward to returning to the Senate on Monday."

Fetterman and his campaign were criticized last year for continuing the politician's push for the Senate seat even as it appeared he was laboring under considerable health strains, including difficulty speaking and hearing.
