Sen. Fetterman hospitalized after feeling 'lightheaded'
Fetterman's hospitalization does not appear to be related to the stroke he suffered last year, his office said.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) is hospitalized but in "good spirits," after he experienced lightheadedness at a Senate retreat, his office said.
He was hospitalized Wednesday evening after he began feeling lightheaded at the end of the Democratic Senate Retreat, according to a statement from his office, Fox News reported.
Fetterman's hospitalization does not appear to be related to the stroke he suffered last year, his office said.
"He left and called his staff, who picked him up and drove him to The George Washington University Hospital. Initial tests did not show evidence of a new stroke, but doctors are running more tests and John is remaining overnight for observation," the statement said.
The senator is in "good spirits and talking with his staff and family" and more information will be provided when possible, his office said.
