Expected final Jan 6 public hearing to show new video evidence, examine Trump's state of mind

The public hearing takes place on Thursday at 1pm, less than 1 month before the midterm election and the final report report will come later

The Democrat-led House select committee on Jan. 6 public hearing, on Thursday afternoon, will present new video evidence and examine former President Trump's state of mind during the riot.

The public hearing is expected to be the final one for the panel with this session of Congress ending in early Jan. 2023.

The new evidence reportedly could include previously videotaped depositions. The hearing, which is being held less than 1 month before the midterm election, isn't expected to include live testimony from new witnesses.

Mississippi Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, chairman of the Select Committee on Jan. 6, told Just the News earlier this month that the panel's final report won't be out before the Nov. 8 election.

"We might release some interim information, but the final report will come after the election," he said.

The panel held eight public hearing this past summer.
