Minnesota judge postpones trial for 3 ex-police officers involved in George Floyd's death
Their trial is pushed back until March 2022.
A Minnesota judge ruled the trial of the three former Minneapolis police officers charged with aiding and abetting the death of George Floyd will be postponed until March 2022.
Thomas Lane, J. Kueng, and Tou Thao were set to face trial on Aug. 23 on charges of aiding and abetting the death of George Floyd, which occurred last year, according to USA Today.
Along with Derek Chauvin, who was already convicted of murder, face federal charges alleging they violated Floyd's civil rights.
Judge Peter Cahill ruled Thursday that he postponed the date of the trial so the federal case can go first.
