The Supreme Court on Friday ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that established a constitutional right to an abortion.

"Roe was egregiously wrong from the start," wrote Justice Samuel Alito in the majority opinion. "It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives."
