Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio said this week he is worried by the lack of intelligence community understanding of reported UFO sightings.
"I think the worry is that there's stuff flying over our facilities, and we don’t know what they are," Rubio told TMZ on Monday. "You know what I mean? So that's the concern. Maybe it's the other logical explanation to it."
Rubio laughed when asked by the TMZ reporter if we'll find "friendly aliens" in the upcoming reports.
He said that we should take it one step at a time and not jump to conclusions about aliens or extraterrestrial spaceships.
"My thing is very simple, we don't know what that thing is flying over the top of our installations, let's find out, maybe it's another country, and that would be bad news too," Rubio said.
After his exchange with the TMZ reporter, Rubio said the UFO report from the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), centered in the Pentagon, might miss its deadline.
The report was supposed to be submitted to the Senate by June 1, 2021, but Rubio told Fox Business he was "not sure they’re gonna come in on time."
Rubio's comments come after the former Director of National Intelligence announced the report last week, according to The Epoch Times.
