Jill Biden receives most expensive gift from foreign leader in 2023

First Lady Jill Biden received the most expensive gift from a foreign leader in 2023, according to accounting released by the State Department on Friday.

The 7.5-carat $20,000 diamond was gifted to the first lady by Narendra Modi, India's prime minister.  

She also received a brooch worth about $14,000 from Ukrainian ambassador to the United States.

The president was gifted many items as well including a commemorative photo album from South Korea’s impeached President Suk Yeol Yoon worth $7,100 and a $3,160 sterling silver tray from the president of Israel.
