Country singer Jake Flint dies hours after wedding at age 37

Country singer-songwriter Jake Flint passed away in his sleep just hours after his wedding. He was 37.

Flint's publicist confirmed to The Oklahoman on Tuesday that the singer died in his sleep after his wedding Saturday at a rural Oklahoma homestead. His cause of death is still unknown.

"He was not only a client, he was a dear friend and just a super nice guy" the publicist said. "As you can see from the outpouring on social media, he was loved by everybody."

His widow, Brenda Wilson Flint, posted a video clip from the wedding to Facebook with the message, "I don't understand."

Flint recorded three albums, his first in 2016, titled, "I’m Not Okay." 

He also had three singles on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart – "Cowtown" in 2017; "Long Road Back Home" in 2018, and "What's Your Name" in 2020, also according to The Oklahoman.
