Despite historically high inflation, Biden defends his record and expresses confidence that GOP policies will push people to vote Democrat.

President Biden on Friday expressed confidence that policies he claimed are favored by Republicans will drive voters to cast their ballots for Democrats in next month's midterm elections.

During a press conference at the White House, Biden lambasted what he called Republican "Mega-MAGA trickle-down" policies, arguing they'll turn off voters.

"[Republicans] want to double down on Trump tax cuts for the wealthy … send jobs overseas … [and] they want to abolish" a 15% corporate minimum tax rate signed into law by Biden in August, he told reporters. "If Republicans get their way, the deficit is going to soar. I have to admit, every once in a while, they surprise me."

Biden then added, "That's why I think we're going to do just fine."

What do you think? Do you agree with the president? Or do you trust the economy in the hands of Republicans more than Democrats? Here's your chance to weigh in:
