Caitlyn Jenner mulls California governor bid, gets advice from ex-Trump campaign manager Parscale

Jenner considers a bid as Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom faces a possible recall election.

Former Olympian and reality star Caitlyn Jenner is considering a bid to become California's next governor and is getting advice from former Trump's campaign manager Brad Parscale.

Jenner's possible bid is being reported by several news agencies including CBS News

Parscale said he has known fellow Republican Jenner for years and is helping her as a "friend" – not a paid adviser – to find key staffers for potential campaign, CNN reports.

Jenner, who yet to publicly saw whether she'll run governor, was an early supporter of President Trump.

Jenner considers a bid as Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom faces a possible recall election, following a petition drive that appear to have the required 1.5 million valid signatures to put the issue on a statewide ballot.

The petition effort, over Newsom's handling of the COVID pandemic, has garnered over 2 million signature that are now being counted and verified.

If the signatures are verified, the ballot will have two questions: Whether Newsom should be removed and who should replaces him.
