Trump assassination attempt

An analysis published by the New York Times contradicts FBI Director Christopher Ray's claim that "shrapnel" might have hit former President Trump at his rally in Butler, Pa. earlier this month.

A gunman fired at Trump, killing one attendee and injuring three others, including Trump. The FBI has not determined the motive of the attack.

According to The New York Times' analysis, at least 3 bullets were close to hitting Trump and one struck his ear.

During a House hearing on Tuesday, Ray said, "There’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear."

Trump responded on social media, saying the hospital confirmed it was a bullet that struck his ear.
