Pence predicts 'pro-life' majority in Congress, record number of conservative governors

Pence argues that Biden has created a 'manmade energy crisis'

Former Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday predicted "pro-life majorities" in the House and Senate and a recordĀ  number of conservative governors after the Nov. 8 election.

Pence's comments follow President Biden vowing a day earlier to codify Roe. v. Wade if the Democrats maintain control of the House and Senate and add to their majorities in the upcoming election.

In his speech at the Heritage Foundation, Pence also argued that Biden has created a "manmade energy crisis," which is leading to higher prices at the pump.

Pence, a potential 2024 GOP presidential candidate, also criticized Biden for saying transgender women have the right to compete in women's sports. He called on the federal government to "end the assault on women's sports."

Pence urged the GOP to stand for "education freedom" and end the federal government's role in education policy, adding that it's a state and local issue. He described the George W. Bush-era "No Child Left Behind Act" as the "largest expansion" of the U.S. Department of Education in U.S. history.
