Trump-backed Kari Lake leads GOP primary field for Arizona governor, poll finds
Secretary of State Katie Hobbs leads the Democrat field.

Republican Kari Lake, the television host endorsed by former President Donald Trump, has a large early lead in her party’s race for Arizona governor, a new poll found.
The poll released last week by OH Predictive Insights showed Lake led the GOP primary field with 28%, followed by former U.S. Rep. Matt Salmon with 11%
State Treasurer Kimberly Yee trailed in third at 6%.
On the Democratic side, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs led with 42% followed by former Nogales Mayor Marco Lopez at 8%, the poll showed.
Both Lake and Hobbs increased their leads since the summer.
The winners in next year’s primary will face off in November 2022 to succeed Gov. Doug Ducey.
