Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday issued a stark warning to the United States, contending that a series of unusual natural occurrences were signals from the divine for the nation to seek absolution.

"God is sending America strong signs to tell us to repent. Earthquakes and eclipses and many more things to come. I pray that our country listens," she posted on X.

The Georgia lawmaker made the remarks after an earthquake rocked New Jersey and was felt as far away as Delaware on Friday. She further referenced an upcoming solar eclipse expected to occur on April 8.
