King Charles III resuming royal duties next week following cancer diagnosis: Buckingham Palace

King Charles took a break from his public duties for about 3 months after he was diagnosed with cancer.

King Charles III will return to his royal duties following his cancer diagnosis, according to a Buckingham Palace announcement on Friday.

He took a break from his public duties for about 3 months after he was diagnosed with cancer.  

The palace said Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, are scheduled to visit a cancer treatment center on Tuesday and meet with medical staff.

"To help mark this milestone, The King and Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients. This visit will be the first in a number of external engagements His Majesty will undertake in the weeks ahead," the official statement read.
