The House of Representatives voted to allow President Donald Trump to continue Operation Epic Fury in Iran on Thursday.

The resolution was introduced by Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif. Several Democrats joined all Republicans except two, Massie and Warren Davidson of Ohio, who voted against it.

The vote in the House was 212-219.

The resolution was aimed at blocking Trump from continuing to use the Armed Forces in the joint U.S.-Israeli operation in Iran. The Senate blocked the resolution on Wednesday.

The Trump administration, and now a vast majority of Republicans in Congress as well, argue that the president has acted within his authority as commander in chief, according to Fox News.
