Rep Joe Wilson's office says he is 'fine' after receiving stitches for falling, hitting head at home
“He received stitches, is fine and working remotely,” Rep. Joe Wilson's spokesperson said
Rep. Joe Wilson's, R-S.C., office said that he is "fine" after receiving stitches for falling and hitting his head at his Washington, D.C., home.
Wilson, 78, slipped in the bathroom and cut his head on Wednesday evening, his spokesperson told The Hill.
“He received stitches, is fine and working remotely,” the spokesperson said.
Wilson was hospitalized in September 2024 after collapsing during a Ukraine Independence Day celebration in D.C., which he later said was caused by a severe drop in blood pressure.
He formally filed for reelection to South Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District last week. Wilson was first elected to the seat in 2001, making him one of the longest-serving House members.
