A third victim in the shooting of a bar in Austin, Texas, has died, according to police.

"We are sad to report a 3rd victim has passed away as a result of the shooting on West Sixth Street yesterday morning. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Jorge Pederson," the Austin Police Department posted on X on Monday.

The other two people who were killed during the shooting early Sunday at Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden, near the University of Texas-Austin, were Ryder Harrington, 19, and Savitha Shan, 21, according to police, The Hill news outlet reported.

The alleged gunman, 53-year-old Senegalese immigrant Ndiaga Diagne, was shot and killed by police. Diagne was wearing clothes with an Iranian flag design and “Property of Allah” written on it during the attack, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

He entered the U.S. in 2000 on a B-2 tourist visa and became a lawful permanent resident in 2006 after marrying a U.S. citizen, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The FBI said during a press conference Sunday, on day after the U.S. and Israel launched air strikes on Iran, that there were “indicators” of terrorism.

Police said Diagne circled the bar in his SUV several times before firing a handgun at patrons outside the building shortly before 2 a.m. He exited his vehicle after a few minutes and began firing shots from a rifle before police confronted him.

At least 14 people were injured in the shooting and taken to nearby hospitals, where at least two remain in critical condition, Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said.

“This is a complicated and large crime scene. Our priority is finding answers and the motives behind this crime,” Davis said during a Monday press conference.
