The Texas Rangers on Wednesday night defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks to win the first World Series in their 63-year franchise history.
The Rangers defeated the Diamondbacks 5-0 in Game 5.
They were held hitless until the seventh inning when World Series MVP Corey Seager hit an opposite-field single, which was followed that inning by an RBI single by Mitch Garver to break a scoreless tie.
