The criminal trial in federal prosecutors case regarding former President Trump's retention of classified documents after leaving office is set to start May 20, 2024, a federal judge in Florida announced Friday.
The trial will take place before U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Trump is facing 37 counts in connection with allegedly having violated of the Espionage Act over withholding classified documents.
His aide Walt Nauta is also being charged conspiring to obstruct justice and false statements.
They have both pled not guilty to all charges.
