Former President Donald Trump re-emphasized his distance from Project 2025 as Democrats brought up the plan at the Democratic National Convention.

"LYING AGAIN ABOUT PROJECT 2025, WHICH SHE KNOWS, AND SO DO ALL DEMOCRATS, THAT I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH!" Trump wrote on TRUTH Social Thursday evening.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday accepted her party's presidential nomination at the DNC where she gave a speech and at one point warned about the project.

Project 2025 is a plan put forth by The Heritage Foundation that lays out a plan and policies for the next GOP administration. It has been called controversial and many Democrats have spoken out against it.

Harris said that Trump being back in the White House would result in serious consequences, stating Project 2025 as an example, Forbes reports.

Other Democrats such as Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., criticized the plan at the convention.

Trump's running mate for the 2024 presidential campaign, Sen. JD Vance, said there are some ideas of the plan he likes and a lot of ideas he dislikes.
