Police shooting database indicates mentally ill white people killed at twice the rate of black ones

Though black Americans are overrepresented among police shooting victims relative to their share of the nationwide population, black suspects who are mentally ill are nevertheless only half as likely to be shot by police as mentally ill white suspects.
