Biden FCC pick withdraws nomination

Gigi Sohn, President Biden’s pick to serve the Federal Communications Commission as a telecommunications regulator, has withdrawn her nomination. Sohn says her decision to withdraw comes after a 16-month lobbying effort to delay her appointment to the position, as well as personal and political attacks. The White House has not named a replacement for the nomination.
