Twelve rehabilitated manatees were released back into the wild Monday, setting a new record for the most releases in a single day. Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership, which was responsible for the release program, tracks the health of rehabilitated and released manatees as part of the recovery of Florida manatee populations.
