Strong wind and waves at Jensen Beach as Nicole makes landfall in Florida

Strong winds and rain whipped along Florida’s east coast on Wednesday night, before Storm Nicole made landfall, briefly as a hurricane, in the early hours of Thursday, November 10. Footage posted to Facebook by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office shows strong waves hitting Jensen Beach Causeway Park on Wednesday night. The National Weather Service said on Thursday morning that Nicole would continue across central Florida, adding that tropical storm and storm surge warnings would remain throughout the day.
