CNN's Chris Wallace said Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris would need a "miracle" to win the election following the network's first exit poll.

"In conventional terms, it would be a miracle that Kamala Harris could win with that kind of headwind," Wallace said Tuesday evening, according to Newsweek.

According to the exit poll, 43% of voters said they weren't satisfied with the direction the U.S. was going while 29% said they felt angry.

Under 10% of voters said they felt enthusiastic about the direction the country was going.

The poll further found that Biden had an approval rating of 41%.

The first of the exit polls came out a little after 5 p.m. EST.
