CNN's Don Lemon mulls suit against Variety over hit piece: report

CNN anchor Don Lemon is reportedly mulling a lawsuit against Variety over a hit piece the publication released on the embattled media host.
The Variety piece, published on Wednesday, detailed Lemon's alleged history of tensions with his female colleagues, calling him "diva-like." The anchor reportedly has had hostile exchanges with many of the network's major figures, among them Soledad O'Brien, Nancy Grace, and Kyra Phillips.
Following that article's release, Business Insider reported that an "apoplectic" Lemon had "consulted attorneys" about a potential suit. Sources close to Lemon told the outlet that the network was sticking by him. One suggested that Lemon would not sue because more damaging information might emerge from a deposition.
Lemon co-hosts "CNN This Morning" alongside Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow. The host has come under fire in recent months for comments he made about former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley's age.
"Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry," he said in February. He has subsequently apologized.
