Former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross reportedly hires a lawyer after being dismissed
MSNBC Host of The Cross Connection, Tiffany Cross, may be suing the network after being let go.
Former MSNBC Host of The Cross Connection, Tiffany Cross, has reportedly hired a lawyer to represent her against the network after not renewing her contract.
Cross said in a statement on Instagram that she was "disheartened" by the network's decision and will continue to work in media.
"It is my hope that the last two years at MSNBC have been disruptive and transformative, changing how politics are discussed and making policy more digestible," Cross wrote. "Political violence is increasing and it's becoming inherently more difficult to speak the truth. But, after more than 20 years in Journalism, I will not stop."
Cross has reportedly hired Bryan Freedman, according to the New York Post, who represented Megyn Kelly when she sued NBC, Gabrielle Union when she was taken off "America's Got Talent," and Chris Harrison of "The Bachelor."
In response to Cross being let go, Kelly referred to Cross as being "the most racist person in all of television."
Cross had recently gotten a lot of backlash for insulting the state of Florida, referring to it as the "d**k of the country."
Cross had also feuded with conservative commentator Megyn Kelly in the past, referring to her as "the blackface expert" in response to Kelly calling her the most racist person in all of television.
Cross wants to find out why she was let go, according to a New York Post source. "What's the business case for letting her go? Brian Williams lied and they brought him back. Joe [Scarborough] and Mika [Brzezinski] had a [romance], and they expanded their hours and paid them more money. Many people in the business feel like [Cross] was made an example out of," according to the source.
The Post had previously reported that sources told them that one of the reasons that Cross was let go was for "racking up as much as $100,000 in expenses for five-star hotel stays" at hotels such as the Beverly Wilshire in LA. But according to the outlet, another source told them that "Joe and Mika stay there all the time."
