Gays Against Groomers says Instagram has suspended group's account
The group alleges that the suspension from Instagram came shortly after left-wing groups such as GLAAD and Media Matters’ petitioned for them to get banned.
Gays Against Groomers says the social media platform Instagram has suspended the group's account.
"It’s unbelievable that a group like ours who only seeks to protect children and their innocence can be banned for “hate speech,” but here we are," the group posted on the social media platfom X. "We have appealed but it is highly unlikely we will get it back."
"Gays Against Groomers" describes itself as a community that seeks to stop the sexualization of children "under the guise of LGBTQIA+."
The group alleges that the suspension from Instagram came shortly after left-wing groups such as GLAAD and Media Matters’ petitioned for them to get banned.
Instagram has not responded to requests for comment.
"Imagine thinking a group comprised completely of people in the community is anti-LGBTQ," Gays Against Groomers wrote on X. "Do these people realize that claiming protecting children is homophobic and transphobic is what’s ACTUALLY anti-LGBTQ and hurting us?? Stop equating us all with pedophiles and groomers!"
According to the group's website, they want to "return to sanity" in the LGBTQ community.
"There are millions of gays within the community that want nothing to do with this Alphabet religion and join the fight with parents and concerned people everywhere to protect children," the website reads. "We also aim to return sanity and reclaim the community we once called our own."
