To stop Trump, MSNBC host Joy Reid says she'll back Biden even if he's 'in a coma'
The White House has insisted Biden will be staying in the race despite calls for him to suspend his campaign.
MSNBC host Joy Reid this week said that she would cast her vote for President Joe Biden, even if he was in a coma, in order to stop former President Donald Trump from reclaiming the White House.
"If it’s Biden in a coma, I’m going to vote for Biden in a coma,” Reid said in a TikTok video posted Thursday, according to Mediaite. "I don’t even really, in particular, like the guy. A lot of his policies? Don’t like them, [but] he’s not Donald Trump, right?"
"Just let me know when you guys are finished figuring it out, Democrats. Then let me know who I got to vote for to keep Hitler out of the White House," she said, in apparent reference to Trump.
After Biden and Trump squared off in the first presidential debate last week, Biden has faced calls from some Democratic leaders to suspend his campaign, though he has not done so. The next presidential debate will be hosted by ABC News and will take place Sept. 10. Trump recently challenged Biden to another debate.
