Ratings for 'Gutfeld!' are highest in the program's history for Trump guest appearance
The outlet reported that the Trump episode averaged about 4.9 million viewers.
The late night Fox News show “Gutfeld!” had the highest ratings in its history after a guest appearance from former President Donald Trump for the full hour Wednesday night.
Trump appeared as a panelist on host Greg Gutfeld's show along with regular panelists Kat Timpf and Tyrus, and with frequent member of the panel and "Outnumbered" co-host Emily Compagno.
The outlet reported that the Trump episode averaged about 4.9 million total viewers and 744,000 in the all important "demo," meaning people aged 25 to 54, which is the audience most sought after by advertisers. It was Gutfeld's largest audience ever in both categories since his show debuted in 2021.
During his appearance on the show, Trump discussed both of the assassination attempts on his life. One occurred in Pennsylvania and the other in Florida.
Gutfeld jokingly asked Trump about his golf game during the interview.
“Well, I haven’t been thinking about it too much lately. I always said golf is a very dangerous game," Trump responded, according to The Daily Wire.
