Florida Rep. Brian Mast accuses CNN host of 'covering' for Biden
'They see us as disposable,' the congressman said of the Biden-Harris administration
Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., accused CNN host Kaitlin Collins of giving political cover to the Biden-Harris administration on Friday.
Mast's accusation focused on what he called the administration's "disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan" and for Collins leveling an unsubstantiated accusation against former President Donald Trump, The Daily Wire reported.
Mast made the accusations on CNN's The Story, where Collins alleged Trump denigrates U.S. service members.
"He does not denigrate our military. He loves our military," Mast replied.
"Harris and Biden, they squandered the service, of every veteran that served in Afghanistan, because of that withdrawal, because they failed to talk about the failures that exist there," Mast fired back at Collins.
Collins then defended the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, drawing a swift rebuke from Mast.
"They see us as disposable," Mast replied. "When President Biden goes out onto a tarmac, checks his watch, they're seeing us as disposable individuals.
