Vice President Harris appears on cover of Vogue Magazine
The piece in Vogue is about Harris's policies and what her first plans would be if she gets into the White House.
Vice President Kamala Harris appears on the cover of Vogue Magazine on Friday as the 2024 presidential election approaches.
Vogue endorsed Harris back in July in a social media post on X that stated, "With President Joe Biden’s decision to end his reelection campaign, the world looked to Harris with hopes and doubts."
The Vogue feature addresses Harris's policies and her first priorities should she win the White House.
“One of my first calls — outside of family — will be to the team that is working with me on our plan to lower costs for the American people,” Harris said, according to the outlet. “It’s not just about publishing something in a respected journal. It’s not about a speech. It’s literally about, How does this hit the streets? How do people actually feel the work in a way that benefits them?”
President Joe Biden earlier this year ended his re-election campaign and endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee for president.
Harris was also asked about the Middle East and the ongoing war in Gaza between Hamas and Israel to which she said, "[t]here’s been a language and a conversation around what’s been happening, particularly around Israel and Gaza, that suggests that this is binary. It’s not."
