Russia collusion narrative: Gaetz predicts being 'forever unsatisfied' with lack of accountability
Gaetz also said that Hunter Biden will not get indicted if his father Joe Biden is the next president.
Rep. Matt Gaetz anticipates that he will always be dissatisfied with a dearth of accountability related to the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.
"I sense that I will be forever unsatisfied with the lack of action against the people who perpetrated this terrible crime against our country and against the presidency and against the president," the Florida Republican said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast.
Gaetz told Solomon that "the notion that we're gonna get accountability going forward is really, you know, difficult to believe because if, you know, you've got the left-wing woketopians that ever get their hands on the Department of Justice there's not gonna be any interest in these questions that you raise that are of importance to your listeners. It'll be all about, you know, hunting the scalps of the Trump family and members of the Trump administration," Gaetz said.
He described it as "pretty telling about how political they've become" that the FBI and Justice Department kept silent and allowed the Trump impeachment episode to be carried out while they were investigating issues related to Hunter Biden and Burisma.
Gaetz said that Hunter Biden will not get indicted if his father Joe Biden is the next president. The congressman believes that Joe Biden's son would walk, though Gaetz also noted several other possibilities such as "maybe a little house probation." But Gaetz said that "Hunter Biden is not gonna face any consequence."
