House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Tuesday that he supports more transparency regarding the files on disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

House Judiciary Democrats say there should be a public hearing regarding the Epstein files and called on officials from the Department of Justice and FBI to answer about how they have handled the files.

President Trump has pushed back on continuing the calls for the release of everything, writing on Truth Social "One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about."
