Home state office of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul damaged in fire
Paul said in a statement that he was thankful for the first responders and their quick arrival to the scene.
An home state office for Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was damaged Friday morning in a fire.
The fire was in a build that houses the Republican senator's Bowling Green office and started at about 2 p.m.
A law office office also was reportedly damaged in the blaze. rm.
The fire department arrived to find a heavy fire that require the help of additional units to help, according to Bowling Green Fire Department.
The Bowling Green Daily News reported that six units showed up and worked for hours to extinguish the flames. The building eventually collapsed, but no injuries have been reported.
Paul said in a statement that he was thankful for the first responders and their quick arrival to the scene.
“We have a very well established emergency management plan and have the ability to continue operations that will not impact our work helping Kentuckians,” he also said.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time and there is an ongoing investigation.
