Southwest Airlines plane gets hit by bullet, no injuries reported

Dallas police are investigating what happened and as of now a shooting suspect has not been found.

A Southwest Airlines airplane was hit by a bullet on Friday night as it was about to take off from the Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas.

There have been no injuries reported and the police were called immediately. The bullet hit the right side of the aircraft under the flight deck, according to The Associated Press.

The aircraft was a Boeing 737-800 and was hit near the cockpit. 

The plane is not in service and the runway was temporarily shut down, according to Fox News.

Dallas police are investigating what happened and as of now a shooting suspect has not been found. 

The Federal Aviation Administration says that the plane was on its way to Indianapolis International Airport, People reports.
