'Unabomber' Ted Kaczynski found dead in prison cell
Kaczynski was known as the most prolific bomber in American history.
Ted Kaczynski, known as the Unabomber who made 16 bombs that killed three people, was found dead Saturday in his jail cell, according to a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson.
He was 81 years old.
Kaczynski had been moved to a federal prison medical facility in North Carolina after being in a prison in Colorado for nearly two decades.
He had created a series of bombings that targeted scientists before eventually being arrested and charged in 1996.
Kaczynski was known as the most prolific bomber in American history, according to the New York Post. The explosives he made also injured two dozen victims.
