Connecticut House Democrats say they were target of Thanksgiving Day bomb threats
Democratic Connecticut Reps. John Larson, Jahana Hayes, Joe Courtney and Jim Himes said they all got bomb threats.
Four Connecticut House Democrats say they were the target of a bomb threat on Thanksgiving Day – one day after President-elect Donald Trump's nominees were similarly threatened.
The lawmakers are Reps. Joe Courtney, Jahana Hayes,Jim Himes and John Larson, according to The Daily Wire.
"At 7:47 am I was notified by Chief Edward Stephens of the Wolcott Police Department that they received a threatening email stating a pipe bomb had been placed in the mailbox at my home," Hayes said in a statement.
"State police, U.S. Capitol Police, and the Sergeant at Arms were immediately notified. The Wolcott Police Department and State Police responded and no bomb or explosive materials were discovered and the scene was cleared."
Himes said he was "notified" about a bomb threat targeting his home.
Some if not all of the threats were reportedly made by email. And as of Friday, no bomb as been found.
Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who was appointed to be Trump's United Nations ambassador said she and her family were targeted by a bomb threat, made public Wednesday.
