Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said Wednesday that her office received a shooting threat.

"My office has received a very serious shooting threat," Luna wrote on the social media platform, X. "This division and hate campaign against Republicans is going to get someone killed."

According to Axios, the amount of threats against members of Congress increased in 2023.

"I will not be threatened, intimidated, or bow down to those using violence as a means to push their agenda. We will win," Luna's post continued.

Former President Donald Trump slammed the media's recent rhetoric calling him a "threat to democracy" following his second assassination attempt.

"America is the greatest country in the world," Luna's post concluded. "I will continue to fight for the wonderful people who have elected me as well as those across the country that feel that they are being left behind. Please keep my family in your prayers. Hate has no place here."
