House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday removed Ohio GOP Rep. Mike Turner as the chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, a source familiar with the decision confirmed to Just The News.
The move comes after conservative House Republicans pushed Johnson to remove Turner over his firm support for Ukraine and other national security stances. He has also been criticized for his handling of a House surveillance bill.
Johnson has not announced a replacement so far.
